Originally from Cuba, Walfredo is known for his fusion of Afro-Cuban, Latin, jazz, world, and rock styles, seamlessly blending drum set and auxiliary percussion—even playing the kit with his hands. Throughout his career, he has worked with renowned artists like Carlos Santana, Frank Gambale, Gloria Estefan, Tania Maria, and the iconic rock band Chicago, where he transitioned from percussionist to full-time drummer.
