Concepts For The Left Side Floor Tom – extended options for grooves and fills

Have you tried a floor tom on your left side (provided you set up your drums right handed)? Starting with “Papa” Jo Jones in the 30’s to Dave Weckl’s set up in the 80’s – this option is not really new. But, it leaves plenty of room to make your sound more distinctive and personal. It may also inspire you to come up with new fills that have you break out of your usual routines.

Join Claus for this practice session to change your perspective at your instrument. Coordination, musicality, creativity and the development of different vocabulary will be center aspects we’ll be working on. See you!
