Introduction to Double Pedal Drumming – triplet subdivision

Expanding on the content from the previous Practice With session, this one looks at similar double bass drum development concepts. Rather than being based on 16th notes, this time we are working with 16th-note triplets (sextuplets).

By once again isolating the left foot’s syncopated pattern, the focus is shifted onto the different combinations that the right foot can contribute by means of permutation, as well as using a reading text. And if you dare, you can even reverse the patterns altogether!
