Shuffles are such a huge part of our rhythmic vocabulary as drummers. Be it the famous Purdie Shuffle, or variations thereof; perhaps coming from John Bonham or in this case Jeff Porcaro.

Rather than just learn this ‘must-know’ groove verbatim, this lesson breaks down the shuffle into smaller chunks, as well as some linear variations to give you various options to not only internalise the feel on a deeper level but to also make it your own.
