Syncopated Grooves using Slide Technique and Accents

Slide Technique! An approach to stick technique that Ramon Montagner is well renowned for. Logically, once you’ve started internalising the movement, the next step would be to work on incorporating accents into it, to add more dynamic depth and flow to your grooves.

We start out in this lesson by working on individual accent structures within triplets and 16th notes, later applying them to different stylistic elements within Bossa Nova, as well as Samba with the classic Teleco Teco vibe. Good luck, and enjoy!
