In this lesson Claudio Spieler runs through some typical flowing rhythmic patterns in the Carnatic drumming tradition, which are often used to underline the given time signature and to maintain a smooth groove during accompaniment. This could be compared to a nice back beat played by your favourite drummer, for the band to sit on top of!
