Get Your Doubles Rolling – part 2

Building upon the content covered in Part 1 of ‘Get Your Doubles Rolling’ this lesson now looks at accenting the second note of each double. This concept, also known as ‘Pullout’’ strokes, necessitates the use of Informal Technique a.k.a. Moeller Stroke; in this way the wrist is what moves up first, not the tip of the stick. The rhythmic context here covers 32nd notes at 50bpm, later moving onto expansions into quintuplets and sextuplets. Enjoy!
