This live lesson uses a similar approach to the previous lesson, but using different rudiments: this time the Final of 7 and the 5-Stroke Roll. The aim with this lesson is to explore the many rhythmic ideas that can be explored using these rudiments without ever changing the sticking or accenting pattern. By expanding the distances in each rudiment to be even, or grafting the notes to different subdivisions such as triplets, 16th notes, 16th note triplets or 32nd notes, this will allow you to create many options for phrasing and new vocabulary around the drums.
